Coming Soon – Dark Spires
The first print publication from Wizard’s Tower Press will be Dark Spires, an anthology edited by Colin Harvey. Colin says:
Dark Spires is a speculative fiction anthology about Hardy Country — Wessex.
Hardy’s Wessex is the West of England, from Brunel’s industrial Bristol and Austen’s Regency Bath in the North, to the cliffs of Lyme Regis on the South coast, from the border with Cornwall in the West to the Isle of Wight in the East.
Dark Spires will take the settings that inspired Hardy but update them and add the fantastic elements of speculative fiction — fossils and monorails, sea wolves and anti-gravity.
The cover is by BSFA Award winning artist, Andy Bigwood.
We plan to launch the book at BristolCon on November 6th, 2010. Details of the contents will follow soon.

What a wonderful idea for an anthology. I shall be looking out for this one.
I’m looking forward to this!
Apropos: is it possible to get an RSS feed that doesn’t cut the articles short?
Sorry, I forgot to set the RSS options to to full text. It should be OK from now on.
Cheryl, wow, this sounds like a delicious anthology–and it’s a knockout cover! Wish I could be with you in more than spirit for the launch.
Can’t wait to see the first Salon Futura!
Do you have any plans for making any of your books available in audio? Many e-books are not accessible for blind readers.
Merrill: I would certainly like to do audiobooks. However, doing so involves skills that the company doesn’t currently have, and a level of investment that we can’t currently afford.
