WIZARD’S TOWER WELCOMES PRIME WITH SEASONAL SALE

Wizard’s Tower Press is pleased to announce that it will be stocking selected ebooks, including Lightspeed Magazine, from Prime Books in its online store. The occasion will be marked by a seasonal sale of Prime titles.

The Wizard’s Tower bookstore, located at http://www.wizardstowerbooks.com/, exists to sell Wizard’s Tower’s own books and magazines, such as Dark Spires and Salon Futura. However, the intention is to offer space to any science fiction and fantasy small press that has ebooks for sale.

Prime Books http://www.prime-books.com/ is a recognized leader amongst small press publishers of science fiction and fantasy. Prime’s owner, Sean Wallace, has won the World Fantasy Special Award (Professional) for his work running the company. Prime’s books are regularly nominated for awards, and they have been important to the early careers of writers such as Jeff VanderMeer and Catherynne M. Valente.

Prime’s ebooks normally retail through Wizard’s Tower for either £6.49 or £1.99, but our special Solstice Sale has them available at £4.99 and £1.49 from now until the end of the year. The books on sale include: Ekaterina Sedia’s acclaimed debut novel, The Secret History of Moscow; Rudy Rucker’s classic cyberpunk series, The Ware Tetralogy (four novels for just £4.99); the 2010 Hugo Awards Showcase (edited by Mary Robinette Kowal); Lightspeed Magazine; and numerous anthologies from editors such as Ellen Datlow, John Joseph Adams, Rich Horton, Ekaterina Sedia, Rachel Swirsky and Paula Guran.

Sean Wallace said: “I’m pleased to be working with Cheryl Morgan and Wizard’s Tower Press, and pleased to present from the Prime Books catalogue both books and magazines, including the critically-acclaimed Lightspeed Magazine edited by John Joseph Adams. In this it’s our hope that readers get to explore new worlds with our stories, whether they be short fiction or full-length novels, and enjoy the wide range of material that Prime offers to the discerning reader.”

Cheryl Morgan added: “Prime has been a favorite publisher of mine for some time. They have not been afraid to take risks with talented new writers who push the boundaries of speculative fiction. Some, such as VanderMeer and Valente, have since gone on to considerable fame, whereas others such as Sedia, Holly Phillips and Theodora Goss are still waiting for that breakthough book I’m sure will come. I’m delighted to be able to help bring Prime’s output to a wider audience.”

Wizard’s Tower press is owned and managed by Cheryl Morgan and based in the UK. Cheryl has won three Hugo awards for her online writing and editing. She is the non-fiction editor for the Hugo-winning and World Fantasy and Locus Award nominated Clarkesworld Magazine. Cheryl is also a director of San Francisco Science Fiction Conventions Inc, and of the Association for the Recognition of Excellence in SF & F Translation.
